We originally covered this site in July 2021, shortly after construction began on what would become Moore’s first Costco. But the story of this location stretches back decades.
Using historical satellite imagery from Google Earth, we’ve assembled a visual timeline of the property’s evolution. The earliest available image dates to 1985, though the first clear view begins in 1995. The final image represents the most recent, high-resolution view available as of 2025.

1995 – Open Land, No Major Retail Nearby
In 1995, the future Costco site sat as open farmland with no visible structures or pavement. South Telephone Road had minimal traffic lanes, and there were no retail developments nearby. The Moore Warren Theater, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Home Depot did not yet exist.
2002 – Roadwork and Early Eastside Growth
By 2002, South Telephone Road had been widened and paved, and early commercial activity had begun east of the site. The Dick’s Sporting Goods building and adjacent strip centers were under construction. The Costco parcel remained completely untouched, with no signs of grading or infrastructure.
2020 – Major Site Prep Underway
Aerial imagery from 2020 shows significant earthwork on the west side of Telephone Road. The Costco warehouse foundation was taking shape, and the parking layout had been cleared. Nearby retailers, including Home Depot and the Moore Warren Theater, were fully established by this time.
2025 – Fully Built and Operational
As of 2025, the Moore Costco is fully operational. The parking lot is active, signage is visible, and access roads are complete. Surrounding development continues to fill in, with this location now anchoring the west side of Telephone Road’s expanding commercial corridor.
