A corner in Waxahachie that remained mostly undeveloped for years has been completely transformed. SprawlTag first covered plans for the new QuikTrip in April 2024, before the store opened. Historic aerials and Street View images show the property changing from open land into a fully developed convenience store and gas station. The timeline offers a clear look at how quickly this part of Waxahachie evolved.
In January 2008, the future QuikTrip site was still an open field. There were no buildings or major commercial improvements on the property. The surrounding area had already begun developing, but this corner remained largely untouched. That makes the later arrival of the convenience store and gas station a pretty dramatic change.
By November 2023, the once-open field was beginning to change. New roads and surrounding development had already reshaped the property, while freshly disturbed soil showed work underway on the future QuikTrip site. The store itself had not yet taken shape, but the corner was clearly transitioning from vacant land toward commercial development.
In August 2025, the transformation was complete. The QuikTrip store, fuel canopy, parking areas, and new landscaping now filled the property that had remained open land for years. Compared with the 2008 view, nearly every part of the corner had been rebuilt for the new commercial use.
An April 2025 Google Street View shows the new QuikTrip fully established and operating at the corner. The finished site includes the convenience store, multiple fuel pumps, sidewalks, landscaping, and dedicated entrances. It is a striking contrast with the empty field shown in the January 2008 Street View.
