The project involves a new 16,000-square-foot facility for commercial sales. The location sits along Bob Bullock Loop near Town Center Court, behind the National Guard Armory and across from Grease Monkey.

This area is just northeast of Laredo International Airport, adding logistical appeal for future deliveries and supply routes. The lot is currently undeveloped but bordered by existing roads and businesses.

Open Land with Nearby Early Airfield Activity

Aerial imagery from 1947 shows the area surrounding the site as undeveloped land. While the exact parcel at 5601 Bob Bullock Loop remained untouched, runway patterns from what would become Laredo International Airport are visible farther west.

The site itself was likely part of open ranchland or brush at the edge of early aviation development in the region. By the early 2000s, development began to move east, paving the way for today’s commercial corridor.

New Retail Activity in a Growing Corridor

Bob Bullock Loop continues to attract commercial investment in Laredo. With nearby housing developments along Vero and Amir Drives and institutions like the Texas National Guard, this stretch has grown into a major corridor.

The planned Harbor Freight store adds to the expanding mix of retail and service-oriented businesses. Construction is scheduled for spring and summer of 2025, with updates likely once work begins.
