A new Braum’s Ice Cream & Dairy location might be coming to Crowley, Texas, later this year. According to state filings, the planned site is located at 1180 East Main Street, just off W. Rendon Crowley Road and Plover Road.
Construction is expected to begin in June 2025, with completion anticipated by December 2025. The project will cover approximately 6,152 square feet and feature both a restaurant and grocery component, along with family dining facilities.
Though the filing lists the address, construction plans can change, and the location is not yet confirmed as final. The site currently includes two large tanks visible from the road and sits adjacent to a Walmart Fuel Station.
From Fields to Fuel Stops: A Changing Landscape
Historic Aerials imagery shows that this part of Crowley was once entirely agricultural. In 1938, the site was surrounded by farmland with no nearby development.
By 2001, only a few residential areas had emerged to the north. The land remained undeveloped, without visible commercial structures. In contrast, recent satellite and street view imagery from Google Maps (2025) reveal significant infrastructure improvements and nearby businesses.
The surrounding area now includes several retail and fuel establishments, signaling a shift from rural space to suburban commercial growth.
A Growing Area South of Fort Worth
Crowley is located just south of Fort Worth and east of Burleson, with fast access to Interstate 35W. Development pressure from the north has brought more commercial interest to this stretch of East Main Street.
If completed as scheduled, the new Braum’s will add to the evolving mix of services in this growing corridor. More updates are expected once construction activity begins.
