Quincy’s New Target Is On This Location

Target has transformed the closed K-Mart on Broadway Street in Quincy, Illinois into a new 104,000-square-foot store. Construction began in mid-2022 and the building’s facade has been transformed. The new Target is on the northeast corner of Broadway Street and 36th Street next to a Dollar Tree store and across the street from Quincy Commons Shopping Center.

The building that was once home to Quincy’s K-Mart was built in 1980, next to Quincy Town Center, formerly known as Quincy Mall until 2021. There is also a Dollar Tree and ALDI store, both within walking distance. Quincy is a city with a population of 39,463 and this will be the only Target store in the area. No opening date is currently listed on Target’s website but the store is listed on Google Maps as “temporarily closed”.
