A New Dallas Sprouts Now Open in Oak Cliff

After over a year of construction and planning, Sprouts Farmers Market has officially opened its doors at 1322 N. Hampton Road in Dallas’ Oak Cliff neighborhood. The store welcomed its first customers on Friday, June 20, 2025, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony just before sunrise. This marks the 55th Sprouts in Texas and delivers a major fresh food option to a community thatโ€™s been described as a long-standing food desert.

A Look at the Siteโ€™s Evolution

This corner at Fort Worth Avenue and Hampton Road has seen decades of change. Aerial photos from the 1950s show a small strip mall standing before Interstate 30 was built in 1957, reshaping the area entirely. The site remained mostly the same for over 30 years until recent demolition and redevelopment efforts made way for the new Sprouts store.

Community Impact and Jobs

Sprouts hired 86 team members for the store, with job fairs held in early May near the Dallas Market Center. The new location fills a critical void in fresh food availability and supports the cityโ€™s efforts to improve access to healthier grocery options in underserved neighborhoods.
