ALDI is preparing to open a second Ormond Beach location at 353 West Granada Boulevard, inside the former Winn-Dixie space. The project has been in the works since 2024 and is now moving forward, with the company listing the site as “coming soon.”
Construction and Build-Out
The property dates back to 1984, when the shopping center was first developed along Granada Boulevard. Winn-Dixie was the longtime anchor before the store closed, leaving a large vacancy. ALDI is now taking over part of the box, with a reported 24,081 square feet under redevelopment. Local coverage and city filings confirm interior remodel activity at the site through 2025.
Location and Surroundings
The store sits at the northeast corner of Granada Boulevard and Orchard Street, about 3.8 miles from Interstate 95. It joins a busy retail corridor with more than 32,000 daily drivers passing the site. ALDI already operates at 1260 W. Granada Boulevard, making this a second Ormond Beach store rather than a relocation.
ALDI’s Growth
ALDI USA has been steadily expanding across Florida, often moving into second-generation grocery spaces. The company now runs more than 2,300 stores nationwide and has been increasing its presence in Volusia County. This new Ormond Beach store continues that strategy, bringing the discount grocer’s mix of fresh produce, private-label items, and weekly rotating specials closer to more neighborhoods.
