When we first covered the empty lot at 11306 Huebner Rd in San Antonio last year, a state filing indicated that a QuikTrip convenience store was planned for the site. Nearly a year later, there has been no public confirmation from QuikTrip that the project is moving forward.
The original Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filing, dated October 23, 2024, listed the property as QuikTrip #4004, a 5,029-square-foot store with fuel sales capabilities. Construction was scheduled to begin that same month and finish by April 2026.
By spring 2025, imagery shows that the wooded lot had been cleared, and a blue “Coming Soon” sign appeared on the property. The sign does not feature QuikTrip branding, and its connection to the filed project has not been verified.
As of today, there haven’t been any more public updates, and QuikTrip has not acknowledged this site on its website or in company announcements. The TDLR filing remains the only formal indication that a QuikTrip was planned for this location.
