The long‑awaited Quick Quack Car Wash at 1650 Market Place Blvd in Irving is now open. After months of delays, the 8,400‑square‑foot facility has launched operations, marking another step in the redevelopment of this shopping corridor anchored by Walmart and Sam’s Club.
Originally established in 2006 as Kwik Kar Full Service and Carwash, the site later operated as Wash Guys Carwash before shutting down. Renovations were planned for late 2024 but stretched into 2025. Quick Quack officially celebrated its opening with a “12 Days of Free Car Washes” promotion in late July 2025, offering complimentary ceramic washes to introduce its services to the community.
Services and Customer Experience
Quick Quack operates daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m., providing a range of automated washes, including ceramic coating, triple‑foam, and wheel shine, along with complimentary vacuum stations. Membership plans start at $22.99 per month, appealing to drivers who want unlimited washes.
Early customer feedback is largely positive, with the convenience and speed of the wash standing out. However, one early Yelp review reported minor vehicle damage, reminding customers to inspect vehicles after service. Overall, the reopening restores a long‑vacant site to active use and adds another carwash option for the growing Market Place Blvd area.
A Site with History
This property has seen several transitions in the last two decades. Google Earth imagery from 2001 shows the Walmart and surrounding development in its early stages, with the carwash site still under construction. The latest update completes a new chapter for the property, bringing it back into use after sitting closed into early 2025.
