A new Camp Bow Wow location may be on the way to Pasadena, Texas, according to a recent TDLR filing. The proposed facility would go up at 5010 Space Center Boulevard, just south of Crenshaw Road. Plans outline a 7,140‑sq‑ft building with indoor and outdoor play areas, kennel rooms, and a prep zone. If the project moves forward, construction is expected to begin in October 2025 and wrap up by July 2026, per the filing.
Long‑Vacant Lot Amid Growing Suburbs
Despite steady suburban development in the area over the last two decades, this particular parcel has remained empty. Aerial imagery shows the site as open land as far back as 1943. Roads and utilities appeared by the 1990s, with homes filling in by the early 2010s. The land was prepared around 2017, but has never been developed.
A Growing Camp Bow Wow Network in Houston
Camp Bow Wow operates over 30 locations in Texas, with at least 10 in the Greater Houston area, including sites in Greater Heights, Hobby, Pearland, Cypress, Kemah, and Katy. These facilities offer daycare, boarding, grooming, and live webcam access. A Pasadena location would bring those services closer to residents in southeast Houston and the Bay Area.
