HTeaO may be expanding to a new location on Garden City Highway in Midland, Texas. A recent filing shows plans for a freestanding tea shop at 3104 Garden City Highway, with construction expected to begin in August 2025 and wrap up by February 2026. The project has not yet been officially announced by the company.
Plans call for a 1,957-square-foot building with a 193-square-foot exterior cooler and freezer, along with a single-lane drive-thru and site improvements. The exact lot within the parcel remains unclear based on available data.
From Open Fields to Fast Food Corridor
This stretch of Garden City Highway has seen steady commercial growth since the 1980s. It was once lined with open land and scattered industrial yards. Over time, the corridor filled in with restaurants, service centers, and convenience stores. Nearby businesses now include Whataburger, Bush’s Chicken, and Uncle’s. These additions have helped turn this part of Midland into a dense commercial corridor.
Aerial imagery from the 1990s shows steady redevelopment across the area. Open lots gradually gave way to new buildings and parking areas. The site at 3104 Garden City Highway appears to hold a warehouse-style structure. That building may be repurposed or removed if the project moves forward.
