New Fatburger Planned for This Fort Worth Location

According to state filings, California-based Fatburger is opening its first Fort Worth restaurant at 893 Lower Sonoma Lane. The new site sits near the Target-anchored Presidio Towne Crossing in North Fort Worth. Just south of the location, U.S. Route 287 skirts an area once depicted as grassland in 1950s aerial photos.

Not far from here, Fatburger launched its first Texas outlet in North Richland Hills. The DFW metroplex now hosts several Fatburger restaurants. Founded in 1947, the company is celebrated for its hefty hamburger patties.

In 2001, the Presidio Towne Crossing area was mostly undeveloped land as seen in this clear Google Earth image.
Fast forward 22 years and the difference is striking. The area now has more roads, commercial buildings, and a huge shopping center anchored by a super Target. The new Fatburger will be somewhere along the highlighted Lower Sonoma Lane.
