A new ALDI store is set to open in Deerfield Beach, Florida. The store will be part of the Neighborhood Center at the Crossroads, a retail site that’s been active since the mid-1980s. The property sits at the intersection of West Sample Road and Powerline Road, across from Costco and CarMax.
Leasing materials show ALDI signage and placement on site plans, indicating the store is part of the current tenant mix. The plaza is anchored by Wawa, Wendy’s, and La Colonia Medical Center, with several spaces still available for lease around the ALDI location.
Retail Activity on a Site Built in the 1980s
Historic aerials show the intersection mostly undeveloped until the early 1980s. By 1984, several buildings had been constructed on the northwest corner of the intersection—nearly matching today’s layout. While the property is officially listed as being built in 1986, evidence of development predates that.
The overall layout remains similar to the original footprint, but the center has undergone notable updates in recent years. New tenants and exterior improvements have brought renewed interest to the location.
What’s Planned Around the New ALDI
According to marketing materials, the property includes:
- Up to 66,890 square feet of available space
- Units ranging from 1,409 to 15,000 square feet
- A 1-acre outparcel with potential for an 18,000 SF freestanding building
- Base rent listed at $25 per square foot plus NNN
The intersection handles over 200,000 vehicles per day, with foot traffic projected to exceed 5,000 daily visits. ALDI and Wawa are both ranked among the top 10 U.S. retailers for in-store foot traffic, giving the center a boost in visibility.
The ALDI is officially listed on the company’s store locator as the Deerfield Beach location. No opening date has been published as of mid-July 2025.
