A new Popeyes restaurant is coming to Hewitt, Texas, at the corner of Hewitt Drive (FM 1695) and Regal Drive. This location sits directly across from Midway Middle School and was formerly the site of Hewitt Autoplex, a car dealership that first opened in the 1980s. The original dealership building was the first structure on this corner.
The upcoming Popeyes restaurant will span 2,600 square feet, with construction expected to be complete by November 2025, according to TDLR filings. Hewitt, part of the Waco metropolitan area, boasts a population of over 16,000.
Popeyes, established in 1972, has grown to nearly 4,000 locations worldwide, continuing its legacy of serving up its famous fried chicken and signature sides.
