A New Love’s Will Transform This Big Spring Site in Texas

In December, Love’s Travel Stop will begin construction on a new location in Big Spring, Texas, at 1801 Interstate 20, according to recent Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) filings. The popular truck stop will feature gas and diesel islands, along with eateries like Dunkin’ and Arby’s.

This location, situated in the northern part of the city, has a unique history. It once housed the Big Spring Correctional Center, which was demolished in 2023. Originally built in the 1960s, the building began its life as a Ramada Inn. In 1989, it was repurposed as one of the four Big Spring Correctional Centers.

Love’s Travel Stops, founded in 1964 in Oklahoma, has expanded to over 620 locations across 42 states.
