A new Dunkin’ Donuts is opening at 803 University Avenue in Lubbock, Texas, right across the street from the Texas Tech campus. The location will occupy a building constructed in 2005, which replaced a commercial structure visible in historic aerial images from the 1950s. Dunkin’ will share the space with a Chase branch and a FedEx Office Print & Ship Center.
Founded in Quincy, Massachusetts, in 1948 as Open Kettle, Dunkin’ Donuts now boasts over 13,200 locations worldwide. This new Lubbock location is expected to be complete in August 2024, according to TDLR filings.
