QuikTrip plans to build a new location at 1001 E Freeway in Baytown, Texas, just east of Houston. The site is at the northeast corner of Main Street and East Freeway (Interstate 10). Currently, there’s a small convenience store at this location, which was an Exxon gas station with a Domino’s as recently as 2022.

Historically, buildings have existed at this site since the 1950s. The now-closed gas station was built in the 1980s. In the late 1950s, Interstate 10 cut through this mostly wooded area, near the San Jacinto River.
QuikTrip continues its expansion in Texas, now boasting over 1,005 locations. This particular store is expected to be completed by June 2025.
