6500 Watauga Road is a lot in Watauga that has never been developed until now. The Tex-Mex chain Taco Casa will open a freshly built restaurant at this location, between a Dollar General and New Life Family Church. Albertsons is nearby, and Regency Square Shopping Center is directly across the street.
Development in this part of Watauga spiked in the 1970s when many homes were built. In the 1980s, Albertsons was introduced. By the late 1990s, most of this area was fully developed, except for this lot. That changes soon, with construction expected to be complete by April 2025, according to TDLR filings.
