A new Applebee’s restaurant is coming to the Mill Station shopping center in Owings Mills, Maryland. It will be situated in the AMC Owings Mills 17 parking lot on Mill Run Circle, to the east of the new shopping center. In 2017, Mill Station replaced the demolished Owings Mills Mall. Mill Station shoppers will have convenient access if they decide to enjoy a meal after shopping. The restaurant should open in early 2025.

Owings Mills, Maryland is a suburb of Baltimore with a history that dates back to the early 1700s when it was first settled by Europeans. The area was primarily agricultural until the 1800s when the introduction of the railroad brought industry and development. Over time, Owings Mills became known as a transportation hub and a center for manufacturing, including the production of steel and textiles.
Location History
The area where the new Applebee’s is being built has an interesting history. Historical images from 1957 show that the land was once farmland. In the 1980s, Interstate 795 was constructed to the north of the area, and the Owings Mills Mall opened in 1986. The mall operated for 31 years before being demolished to make way for the new Mill Station shopping center, which features a mix of retail, entertainment, and dining options.
