Life Time is set to open its newest location on State Highway 161, also known as President George Bush Turnpike. The facility will be located between Macarthur Blvd and Las Colinas Blvd, just southwest of the intersection of Interstate 635 and State Highway 161. The fitness center will occupy a massive 108,000 square feet of space, making it one of the largest fitness centers in the area. Currently under construction, the new Life Time will be a welcome addition to the already bustling area.
Life Time has been a popular gym chain for many years. Founded in 1992 in Minnesota, the chain has since expanded to over 150 locations across the United States and Canada. Location History
Aerial images of the site date back to as early as 1958 when it was still a wooded area. As urban sprawl began to spread in the 1980s, the area around the site began to develop rapidly. The completion of the President George Bush Turnpike in the early 2000s brought even more traffic and development to the area. Today, the location of the new Life Time is surrounded by thriving businesses and residential communities, making it a good spot for a fitness center.
The fitness center is expected to open in 2024.
