New Sky Zone to Transform Former Conn’s Building in Hurst, Texas

Sky Zone is planning a new indoor trampoline park at 900 NE Loop 820 in Hurst, Texas. A recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows the transformation could begin in September 2025 and wrap up by December 2025. The company has not yet officially announced this project.

The renovation will transform a 38,725-square-foot building once occupied by Conn’s HomePlus. It will include a full interior remodel, creating space for the type of active entertainment Sky Zone is known for—freestyle trampolines, foam pits, dodgeball courts, and more.

The Area Has Evolved from Farmland to a Retail corridor

Historic aerial images reveal how this stretch of Hurst has changed. In 1946, the land was mostly open fields. By 1979, the roads and nearby development had taken shape, but the lot was still empty. The current structure appears in the aerials sometime between 1981 and 1990.

Property records confirm the building was constructed in 1982. Conn’s HomePlus operated here for several years before its closure during the retailer’s broader downsizing efforts in the early 2020s.

Today, the building is part of a busy commercial corridor. It sits on a 2.76-acre lot with 135 parking spaces and over 380 feet of freeway frontage.

A Perfect location for Active Entertainment

The future Sky Zone site is right along Interstate 820, just south of North East Mall. The area sees over 127,000 vehicles daily and is surrounded by national retailers, restaurants, and family-focused businesses.

Sky Zone has more than 300 locations worldwide and is owned by CircusTrix, a company based in Provo, Utah. Founded in 2004, Sky Zone helped popularize trampoline parks as entertainment hubs for kids, teens, and families.

Hurst could be one of the brand’s latest additions in Texas, following other recent growth moves. Though not yet listed on Sky Zone’s official site, the project filing suggests plans are in motion.
