From Rural Homestead to Late-Night Drive-Thru
A brand-new Wendy’s opened recently at 913 Knight’s Way, just off FM 2410 in Harker Heights, Texas. It’s the latest addition to a fast-developing commercial strip—but this spot isn’t exactly new ground.
Aerial imagery from 1958, the earliest available for the area, shows a small structure already sitting on the land. It was likely a rural homestead, complete with a path or drive connecting to what’s now a busy road. For decades, this parcel sat mostly quiet, gradually surrounded by suburban homes and retail.
In early 2025, that changed. By March, construction on the Wendy’s was already nearly complete. Paving was done, the building stood in place, and within weeks, signs of activity emerged. By June 2025, reviews began appearing online.
How’s It Doing So Far?
Google now shows 21 reviews for the location, with a 3.1-star average. Comments highlight quick service during off-hours and delays at peak times. The location also appears on Uber Eats (4.0★) and DoorDash (4.2★), though those scores mostly reflect delivery performance.
As of July 2025, the Wendy’s is fully operational, open daily until 1 AM, and represents another small chapter in the slow but steady transformation of Knight’s Way.
