A new Costco Wholesale store, in the Marysville Metropolitan area, opened its doors in September 2023. The store is technically in Linda, an unincorporated community next to Marysville, California, with a population of over 21,800. Spanning a massive 160,000 square feet, the new Costco will be situated at the former Peach Tree Mall site along North Beale Road and Lindhurst Avenue.
This location had been vacant for many years, marking a significant step in the revitalization of the area. With the arrival of Costco, it is anticipated that this will serve as an inspiration for other national brands to establish their presence in the region, thereby further boosting the local economy

Marysville Costco Location History
The Peach Tree Mall was once a bustling shopping center and one of the largest employers in the area. It housed popular stores like J.C. Penney and K-Mart, attracting shoppers from all over the region.

Peach Tree Mall mall’s history, however, was not without its share of challenges. In 1986, a devastating flood caused by a levee break left the mall and the surrounding area submerged in 10 feet of water for two weeks.

The mall never reopened after the flood, and it remained vacant for many years. In 2021, a fire, reportedly started by a transient man following a domestic dispute, ravaged the abandoned mall, leading to its demolition.
