New Golden Chick Still Coming to Little Elm, Texas

Golden Chick is still planning a new location in Little Elm, Texas, but the project has slipped well past its original timeline. The new restaurant at 995 E Eldorado Parkway, just west of FM 423, was supposed to be complete by late 2024, but itโ€™s now projected to open in September 2025.

The delay follows months of limited progress at the site, despite initial optimism when we first reported on the project back in April 2024.

As of June 2025, No Building Yet on Site

The most recent satellite image from April 2025 shows the pad poured, but no structure built. There are no walls, no signs, and no drive-thru or parking lot infrastructure in place. The lot is cleared, but vertical construction hasnโ€™t started.

This significantly contradicts the timeline in the TDLR filing, which listed a November 4, 2024, completion date. The project has fallen behind schedule, though no official reason has been shared publicly.

A Second Location for a Growing Area

This upcoming store will complement Golden Chickโ€™s existing location on US-380 in Little Elm at 26735 US-380 E. That store remains active, serving the northern part of the city. The new Eldorado Parkway site will bring better access to residents near Lewisville Lake and the dense housing along FM 423.

Once it opens, the new Golden Chick will offer dine-in, takeout, and drive-thru service. But for now, it’s just a concrete slab on a quiet construction site.ning date is now targeting early Septemberโ€”assuming construction picks up pace this summer.
