A new Sprouts Farmers Market will open on April 11, 2025, at 4730 Marigold Avenue, in the Poinciana area of Kissimmee, Florida. The store is part of a larger regional retail expansion and marks Sprouts’ continued growth into suburban communities across Central Florida.
The location is positioned at the corner of Marigold Avenue and Cypress Parkway, near multiple residential developments and community institutions. It joins a growing number of national retailers and service providers that are filling out a new retail district in Poinciana.
A Look at the Site’s Transformation
The site where Sprouts will open has undergone dramatic change in recent decades. In 1995, the land was undeveloped and used for agricultural or possibly dormant subdivision purposes. Aerial images show a pattern of cleared rectangular plots, but no buildings or paved roads directly on site.
Development intensified in the 2000s, and by 2023, the area had been transformed into a structured commercial zone. Major infrastructure upgrades along Marigold Avenue accompanied new housing, retail pads, and access roads. Sprouts now occupies a portion of one of these new commercial plots.
This corner of Poinciana has shifted from rural to suburban in less than 30 years, becoming a significant local hub for shopping and services.
Part of the Poinciana Lakes Plaza Development
The new Sprouts is one component of the larger Poinciana Lakes Plaza project. This commercial center, which spans approximately 205,000 square feet, includes multiple anchor tenants, service providers, and restaurants.
The plaza includes confirmed or proposed tenants such as Ross Dress for Less, Burlington, Ulta Beauty, Crunch Fitness, Petco, Five Below, and MD Now Urgent Care. Restaurant and food options include Panda Express, Outback Steakhouse, and Bojangles. Several smaller tenants and outparcels are also in development.
Located near Poinciana Medical Center and the Stepping Stone Community, the plaza is designed to meet growing demand from a rapidly expanding population. Marigold Avenue and Cypress Parkway now serve as major access routes for both local traffic and visitors from surrounding neighborhoods.
