A New Urban Air Might Be on the Way for Denton County ⋆ SprawlTag.com

According to a recent filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), a new Urban Air Adventure Park might be on its way to Denton, Texas. The project is listed for 3615 E McKinney Street, with construction expected to begin in June 2025 and be completed by October 2025.

If this moves forward, it would be the first Urban Air in Denton County, bringing a new indoor entertainment destination to the area. However, Urban Air has not officially announced this location, leaving some details uncertain.

Where Would It Go?

This is where things get interesting. The 3615 E McKinney Street address currently points to a commercial property that includes O’Reilly Auto Parts and other businesses. The TDLR filing describes the project as new construction, which raises questions about whether the Urban Air facility will:

Be built on an undeveloped lot nearby,
Replace an existing structure, or
Occupy part of an existing commercial building.

At this time, no demolition permits or major redevelopment plans have been found for the location.

A Look at How the Area Has Changed

**2001:** The area was mostly open land with a few businesses, much of it undeveloped. The area had fewer commercial buildings along Loop 288 and less retail development.

**2025:** The site is now surrounded by shopping centers, restaurants, and residential growth. A grassy area north of E McKinney Street remains undeveloped, which could be a possible location for Urban Air.

One thing to note: ongoing construction to the south is not related to this project. That’s the Denton Grove Apartment Homes, which are now completed and open.

What Could an Urban Air in Denton Include?

Urban Air locations typically offer a mix of attractions, such as:

Trampoline arenas
Ninja warrior courses
Climbing walls
Virtual reality experiences
Indoor go-karts (at select locations)

Every location is different, so it’s unknown which features will be included in the Denton facility if it moves forward.

So… Is This Actually Happening?

As of March 2025, the only confirmed information is the TDLR filing. That means the project is registered but not officially announced. Until Urban Air confirms its plans, the details remain uncertain.

If this does happen, Denton will finally have its first Urban Air Adventure Park, giving families a new place for indoor fun. We’ll keep tracking updates as more information becomes available.
