Hebbronville, Texas, a vibrant community in South Texas, now has its very first McDonald’s. After recent filings and months of anticipation, the iconic fast-food chain officially opened at the northeast corner of Viggie Street and Smith Avenue, serving the town’s approximately 4,000 residents.
This location has a rich history, having previously housed Smokin’ J’s Barbecue and later an Xtreme Ranches building. Fascinatingly, historical images from as far back as the 1930s show this area as a lot with multiple haphazard paths leading to what is now Hebbronville Elementary School. These paths remained visible well into the 1960s, highlighting the town’s evolving landscape.
Now open, this new McDonald’s brings not only a fresh dining option but also new job opportunities to the Hebbronville community.
