Midlothian, known as the cement capital of Texas, continues to thrive with significant growth. The latest addition to the city is a new Lowe’s Home Improvement store, soon to open at the southeast corner of Highway 67 and West Main Street. This store will span approximately 107,000 square feet and serve as the anchor for a new shopping center.
Historical aerial images reveal the transformation of this location, dating back to the 1930s when Midlothian had just over 1,000 residents. This is the first major development at this location, situated near the Walmart’s Midlothian Supercenter.
Lowe’s, established 103 years ago, is the second-largest hardware chain in both the United States and the world. Construction of the Midlothian store is expected to be complete by November 2025.
