New DD’s Discounts Store Opening in Lubbock in 2025: This is The Location

2731 50th Street in Lubbock, Texas has been vacant for over 12 years. The last business at this location was the defunct Bealls Department Store. According to TDLR filings, DD’s Discounts will open a new store here in 2025.

This building is part of the CapRock Shopping Center, which includes Rent-A-Center, Dollar Tree, and Ross. Interestingly, Ross owns DD’s Discounts. To the east of the upcoming DD’s Discounts, there is a Home Depot store. The conversion is expected to be complete by October 2025.
