The Allen is a new 1.3 million square foot mixed-use development now complete and open in Houston, Texas. This vibrant community is located in the historic Fourth Ward neighborhood, just west of downtown Houston. The Buffalo Bayou river lies to the north, with a pedestrian overpass across Allen Parkway linking the development to the scenic 2.3-mile-long Buffalo Bayou Park. The Allen boasts five impressive towers, offering a hotel, office space, and luxury condos. DC Partners, a renowned real estate development and investment firm, spearheaded this project. The Allen’s construction, carried out in two phases, has created 1,731 jobs, enhancing Houston’s urban landscape.

The Allen Location History
Forth Ward was established in 1839. Google Earth Image above shows the same location in 1953.
A public works building on the same site was razed sometime in 2010 or 2011.
