New Longhorn Steakhouse Replaces This Closed Twin Peaks in Mesquite

Last year, Twin Peaks closed its restaurant at The Marketplace at Towne Centre, 18995 LBJ Freeway, in Mesquite, Texas. However, Mesquite residents will soon welcome a new dining spot. Longhorn Steakhouse is opening a new restaurant at this prime location by early 2025.

The 5,780 square foot Western/Texan-themed eatery will replace the 5,801 square foot Twin Peaks building, completed in 2003 along with the shopping center. It is located directly across from a Kohl’s department store, with a Home Depot to the north and a short distance from Town East Mall.

This area saw significant development in the early 2000s. The LBJ Freeway (Interstate 635) was completed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Longhorn Steakhouse, famous for its variety of steak servings, opened its first location in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1981. Today, it has over 563 locations across the United States.

According to TDLR filings, the project is expected to be complete by January 2025.
