Last year, developers in Madison, Wisconsin, completed one of the city’s newest urban development – Fourteen02 on Park. This $42.1 million project has reshaped the area’s landscape by integrating affordable housing and inclusive community spaces.
The development includes 150 units of affordable housing, now known as Park Cedar Apartments. This project addresses Madison’s growing need for affordable housing, making the city accessible to residents from various economic backgrounds. It supports the city’s commitment to inclusivity and balanced growth.
Fourteen02 on Park is a mixed-use building, covering 115,311 square feet. Developed by Rule Enterprises and Movin’ Out, Inc., and designed by Arc-Int Architecture, the six-story building focuses on inclusivity and accessibility.
Location History
Aerial imagery dating back to 1955 offers intriguing insights into the past life of this site. The site was home to the Madison U.S. Army Reserve Center for six decades, with its training building erected in 1952. Demolition crews took down the Center in 2012, and the site lay dormant until 2021, when the paving of Cedar Street signaled the start of the Fourteen02 on Park development.
