The closed Nathan Frankel Electric Supply building, located at 1109 Lamar Street in downtown Fort Worth, is undergoing a major transformation. Previously unoccupied, the building will soon serve a new purpose as a facility for Dogtopia, a leading pet care provider. Constructed in 1940, this 9,200-square-foot property has witnessed significant changes over the decades. Historical aerial photographs dating back to 1952 depict a notably smaller structure originally occupying the site, which sits directly opposite the long-abandoned Old T&P Warehouse across Lancaster Avenue.

This closed electric supply company will soon be repurposed and turned into a Dogtopia.

Since its inception in 2002, Dogtopia has expanded rapidly, boasting over 260 locations across the country. They offer a variety of services, including daycare, boarding, and spa treatments exclusively for dogs. The renovation of this 84 year old building is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

The 9200-square-foot building was completed in 1940 and is a short distance from the Old T&P Warehouse across Lancaster Avenue.
