The Avis/Budget Car Rental office, located at 1610 West University Drive, is poised to transform into the site of a new Popeyes restaurant in Denton, Texas. Nestled at the bustling intersection of University Drive and Cornell Lane, the venue will sit directly opposite Newton Rayzor Elementary School. Nearby, the recently refurbished Habitat for Humanity of Denton County. The project has an anticipated completion date in July 2025. Established in Louisiana in 1972, Popeyes has expanded its reach to nearly 4,000 locations, each serving a bevy of Louisiana-inspired menu items that have garnered a loyal following.
