Bedford residents can soon enjoy a new Bojangles restaurant, taking over the old Cheddar’s spot at 1937 Airport Freeway. The site, at Central Drive and Airport Freeway (Texas State Highway 183), is seeing a transformation. Crews have demolished the old Cheddar’s, a relic from the 1980s, to build Bojangles’ new 3,170-square-foot space.

This marks the second significant build on the plot, reflecting changes visible in aerial photos since the 1950s. Bojangles, founded in 1977, operates over 800 outlets in the United States and Honduras. It’s famous for its Cajun-seasoned fried chicken and buttermilk biscuits.
