A new Target will open next to Best Buy and the new Total Wine store at the Eatontown Plaza strip mall in Eatontown, New Jersey. The Target will take the place of the defunct Rickel Home Center and Pathmark supermarket. Most recently is was home to Vingo Wines store, Grand China Buffet restaurant and Babies R Us. Target’s new location will be 59,653-square-feet according to the company’s website.

The first Target was opened in Roseville, Minnesota back in 1960. Target is the eighth-largest retailer in the United States. Most Targets range from as small as 13,000 square feet to approximately 50,000 square feet. The bigger stores average about 135,000 square feet.
