SprawlTag first covered the new Tom Thumb in Frisco on February 22, 2024. The grocery store had opened in Lexington Village. The shopping center sits near Eldorado Parkway and Coit Road. This area was once part of the historic Brinkmann Ranch. The ranch was also known as the Cloyce Box Ranch. The TV show “Dallas” filmed its first five episodes there.
The images below use Google views to show how much the site changed over time. The timeline starts in 2001, when the future Tom Thumb property was still open ranchland near Coit Road. By 2018, the land still looked mostly rural from street level. A few years later, Lexington Village had taken shape with roads, homes, retail pads, parking lots, and an open Tom Thumb-anchored shopping center.

By February 2024, the former ranchland had been heavily reshaped into Lexington Village and the surrounding master-planned development. Roads, retail pads, parking lots, homes, and active construction filled the area around the Tom Thumb site. The image shows the project in its buildout stage, with the grocery anchor already in place while nearby blocks were still being finished.
By December 2024, the Tom Thumb-anchored shopping center was open and operating along Coit Road. The view shows storefronts, parking, landscaping, new sidewalks, and nearby residential growth where open ranchland once stretched across the site. It is a sharp contrast to the 2001 and 2018 views, when this part of Frisco still looked mostly rural.
