Former Tom Thumb. Now El Rancho.

How El Rancho Has Evolved in Irving Texas

The El Rancho Supermercado store on North Beltline Road was once a Tom Thumb Supermarket. In 2019 Tom Thumb was closed and the building became an El Rancho. The change reflected the drastic demographic changes in Irving. In 1990 Hispanics made up 16% of the Irving population. By 2021 Irving was estimated to be 43% Hispanic.
