Construction and Renovation Status

State filings with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation show that the project involves a full interior renovation of the existing retail space. The build-out is valued at approximately $3.25 million and focuses on transforming the vacant unit into a full-service Sprouts grocery store.

Renovation work has progressed through permitting and into the interior construction phase as the April 2026 opening approaches. There are no public indications of delays at this time.

A New Anchor for Kings Crossing

Kings Crossing has served the Kingwood area since the mid-1980s and sits in one of the communityโ€™s busiest commercial corridors along Kingwood Drive. The center is surrounded by restaurants, retail shops, and residential neighborhoods, making it a strong location for a specialty grocery anchor.

Sprouts will bring its standard layout, including fresh produce, bulk foods, natural and organic groceries, and prepared items. Once open, it will become the brandโ€™s newest Houston-area location and add another grocery option for Kingwood residents.
