Here’s the Latest on Universal Kids Resort Construction in DFW

Universal Kids Resort in Frisco is moving quickly through vertical construction. The five-story, 300-room hotel is topped out, with façade panels now going up. Drone footage shows ride structures and show buildings rising across multiple themed lands. Recent city approvals confirmed the hotel’s design, which connects directly to the park entrance.

Location

The 97-acre site sits at the northeast corner of the Dallas North Tollway and Panther Creek Parkway. A new six-lane road called Universal Parkway has been paved and striped in sections, giving direct access to the resort. Surrounding development is part of a much larger transformation along the Tollway corridor.

This land was farmland until the Tollway expansion through Frisco in the 2000s. Recent aerials show the site shifting from dirt work to visible structures, marking the first major theme park project at this location.

By 2023, the landscape has transformed significantly. This view shows the early stages of the development.

Company Info

Universal Kids Resort is part of a larger 2,500-acre development that also includes PGA of America’s headquarters and the Omni PGA Frisco Resort. The project is expected to draw millions of visitors annually and boost tourism throughout North Texas.
