A New Walmart Supercenter Is Coming to Northern Utah

The long-anticipated Walmart in Eagle Mountain is nearly here. Located at 9399 North Spring Run Parkway, the 175,000-square-foot store is expected to open sometime in late summer 2025, based on local reports. While Walmart hasn’t released an official grand opening date, activity on-site and statements from the city suggest the project is on track for completion around August.

From Open Land to Anchored Retail

For decades, the land just north of SR-73 and east of Spring Run Parkway sat largely untouched. Aerial imagery from as far back as 1993 shows rolling, undeveloped terrain. Even by 2004, the only markings on the site were informal tracks and paths. It wasn’t until the early 2010s, as neighborhoods and schools like Rockwell Charter High School expanded nearby, that the area began to urbanize. Now, the space is fully graded and primed for retail use.

Armstrong Capital Development acquired the 20.3-acre site and began construction in 2023. The project includes the Walmart Supercenter, a fueling station, and a convenience store. The development is also expected to include several pad sites and retail bays, although no official brochure or branded name has been released as of mid-2025.

What to Expect This August

The store will offer a full range of services, including groceries, apparel, electronics, toys, a pharmacy, and household essentials. It’s designed with added amenities like a Mother’s Room, online grocery pickup, and a fuel center offering discounts for Walmart+ members. According to Herald Extra, infrastructure upgrades are being made to accommodate the increase in traffic. Upgrades including dual left-turn lanes and improvements to Ranches Parkway.

Roughly 300 jobs are expected to be filled locally. Hiring is already underway through careers.walmart.com, and a formal grand opening event will be announced later this summer.
