New PetSmart Coming to Denton

PetSmart will soon open a new store at Rayzor Ranch Town Center in Denton, Texas. Located to the east of the mall, the store sits near an Albertson which is actually part neighboring University Village Shopping Center. It occupies the southeast corner of University Drive and Heritage Trail, just north of the Eastpark Apartments.

Founded in Phoenix, Arizona, PetSmart operates over 1600 stores nationwide. The store offers a variety of pet products and services such as grooming, boarding, and training. Rayzor Ranch Town Center, which began development in the mid-2010s, was once farmland.

In 2001, the Rayzor Ranch Town Center area was just grassland but the smaller University Village Shopping Center, anchored by an Albertson Store today, had been built more than 20 years earlier.
