A new eight-story apartment building named Highland Oaks is coming to 4839 North Central Expressway (U.S. Route 75) in Dallas, Texas. This project marks a significant change for the site, which was previously home to an apartment building that had stood for over 72 years before its recent demolition. According to TDLR filings, construction is expected to be complete by December 2026.
Location History
This site has a rich history, with historical aerial images from the early 1950s showing the recently demolished apartments. Originally, there were four almost identical residential buildings. However, in 2013, the landscape changed when the Bell Knox District Apartments were built, altering the area’s character.
