The former Golden Corral building located at 1701 N Belt Line Rd, has been demolished by Irving’s JR Demolition. The once-vibrant restaurant has now been reduced to rubble and work is underway to clear the site. There is currently no word on what will replace it.
The building was 9,611 square feet and had 125 parking spaces. Golden Corral closed many locations during the early stages of the COVID Pandemic. While some of the restaurants reopened a few months later, this location is one of many that were permanently closed.

Location History
Historic images of the site date back to 1958, when the area was largely undeveloped. Over the years, the landscape changed, and in the early 1970s, what is now a Storage King building was constructed next to the site, followed by the Golden Corral building in 1997.
