Brazilian Steakhouse, Fogo De Chao, will be opening its fourth location in the DFW area. The new restaurant will be a 9,700-square-foot building on the northeast corner of Ranch Trail and LBJ freeway (Interstate 635) frontage road in Irving. Notable businesses in the area include The Dump, Home Depot, and the new Green Acres across the street. This is the first development in this location.

Fogo De Chao was founded in 1979 but opened its first US location in Addison, Texas on Belt Line Road. They specialize in Southern Brazilian cuisine and have over 70 locations in 6 countries. The name means “ground fire”, referring to the method of roasting meat over an open fire.

Location History

The oldest aerial image of this location dates back to 1958 when the area was farmland. In the 1970s Interstate 635 cut through the area. Major development began in the 2010s with the construction of the Cypress Waters community to the north.
