A new drive-through coffee shop is being planned along one of Waco’s busiest retail corridors. A filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows plans for a 7 Brew Coffee Shop at a commercial property near South New Road and Franklin Avenue.
Small Coffee Stand Planned
State records list the project as “7Brew Coffee Shop – Waco New Road.” The filing shows a 510-square-foot coffee shop planned at 100 S New Road in McLennan County.
Construction is expected to begin in June 2026 and be completed in October 2026. The project is listed as new construction with an estimated cost of $1.5 million and is privately funded.
The small size matches the company’s drive-through-focused concept, which typically operates from compact stands designed for fast service.
Site Has Hosted Multiple Businesses
The property has seen several different businesses over the years.
A 2008 Street View image shows the building operating as a Jack in the Box restaurant. The chain’s well-known clown statue is visible near the entrance in the image.
More recent imagery from December 2025 shows the building operating as TitleMax, indicating the former fast-food restaurant was later converted into a financial services location.
Located in a Busy Retail Area
The site sits just south of Franklin Avenue, a major commercial corridor in Waco surrounded by large retail stores and national chains. Nearby businesses include Walmart Supercenter, Lowe’s Home Improvement, and several restaurants.
If construction moves forward on schedule, the new coffee stand could open in late 2026, adding another quick drive-through option to this heavily traveled retail area.
