A new ALDI grocery store is listed as opening soon in Port Orange, according to the retailer’s official store directory. The location is listed at 4025 South Nova Road within the Riverwood shopping center, a long-established retail area along the city’s main commercial corridor.
ALDI’s listing shows an opening date of January 7. However, recent street-level imagery from March 2025 still shows Winn-Dixie signage on the building, indicating the conversion had not yet been completed at that time. There is no exterior ALDI branding visible in the most recent imagery.
Location and site background
The property sits along South Nova Road, a heavily traveled north–south route that has served as a retail spine for Port Orange for decades. The surrounding area is fully built out, with nearby banks, service businesses, and dense residential neighborhoods that rely on the corridor for everyday shopping needs.
Historic aerial imagery shows the site has long functioned as a grocery-anchored location, with commercial development replacing largely undeveloped land over the second half of the 20th century. The upcoming ALDI appears to be a reuse of the existing Winn-Dixie building rather than new construction, continuing the site’s role as a neighborhood grocery destination.
At this stage, the store is listed but not visually confirmed as open. While an opening date appears online, exterior conversion work and ALDI signage were not evident as of the most recent street imagery, suggesting the project remains in transition.
