A new Chipotle Mexican Grill is on the way to Cedar Park, adding another familiar name to a fast-growing corridor. According to a recent state filing, a Chipotle-branded shell building will rise along Cypress Creek Road near Little Elm Trail. The project will transform a wooded parcel that has sat untouched across from the city’s recreation fields for years.
The restaurant will be located at 1210 Cypress Creek Road, surrounded by parks, apartments, and neighborhood shops. Plans call for a 2,380-square-foot building, with construction beginning in January 2026 and ending by June 2026.
Timeline: The Changing Face of 1210 Cypress Creek Road
November 2003 – The earliest clear aerial view shows an open lot covered in brush and scattered trees. It sat between early residential streets and the growing commercial area to the east. Cypress Creek Road was still quiet, bordered by fields and park space.
March 2025 – Two decades later, the same land remains wooded but now surrounded by heavy development. Gold’s Gym, Salerno Cucina Italiana, and nearby apartments define the area. This lot is one of the last undeveloped pockets along the busy stretch of Cypress Creek Road.
