Sprouts opened its second Brevard County location on North Wickham Road in March. Earlier this year we covered the opening and what the store would bring to the area. Now, six months later, weโre circling back to see how shoppers feel and how the store has settled into the neighborhood.
Construction and Opening
The store opened on March 14, 2025, after a fast buildout along a busy stretch of Wickham Road. Opening week drew strong crowds, helped by a launch-day discount through the Sprouts app. The layout remains the same today, with wide aisles and clean sections. The interior still looks fresh and gets steady traffic.

Location
The store sits in a growing commercial corridor in Melbourne. New homes and businesses continue to push outward along Wickham Road. Sprouts fills a niche here with its focus on organic and natural foods. It gives shoppers another option beyond the larger chains in the area. Parking is easy, and access remains smooth during most hours.
Community Reaction
Shoppers praise the clean design, bright lighting, and produce quality. Many like the specialty snacks, supplements, and unique items. Staff friendliness comes up often in reviews. The main complaints involve pricing on everyday products and occasional slow checkout lines. Several shoppers say they use Sprouts for specific items rather than full weekly trips. Even so, most reviews show the store has made a good impression during its first months.
A Look at the Past and Present
The site of this new Sprouts location has changed dramatically over the years. A 1958 aerial image shows the area as mostly undeveloped land, with scattered dirt paths and natural vegetation. Fast forward to 2021, and while much of the land was still wooded, surrounding development was starting to take shape, with commercial centers and residential neighborhoods growing nearby.
