An O’Reilly Auto Parts store is set to rise along Wellborn Road in College Station, Texas. A state filing shows the project will bring a 7,050-square-foot building. Construction is scheduled to begin in December 2025, with completion expected by April 2026. The project will add another retail option to the busy corridor.
Site History
The project site at 12965 FM 2154 (Wellborn Road) has undergone significant changes over the years. The earliest clear Google Earth image from February 1995 shows the land as open pasture with only a few scattered structures nearby. Wellborn Road cut through the area, but most of the surroundings were still fields.
Going further back, the oldest Historic Aerials image from 1957 reveals the land in its purely rural state. Farm fields and tree lines dominated the scene, with FM 2154 already in place but no sign of suburban growth.

By May 2025, Street View shows the property as a grassy lot with a curb and sidewalk in place. Behind it, houses and small businesses line the growing corridor.
